This is a property located at Hirayu Onsen, boasting the oldest history in the Okuhida area, at the foot of Mount Norikura. You can leisurely enjoy the abundant open-air baths sourced from natural hot springs, surrounded by the beautiful nature of the four seasons. Additionally, the spacious room with 12 tatami mats + 8 tatami mats is comfortable for small groups or large families. We also offer mountain vegetable dishes featuring Hida beef steak or shabu-shabu as the main course.
Stayed in a “special-condition” Room.The Ryokan feels quite old, and the Room is also very dated. The toilet was in an unusual location. The walls seem thin, so noise from around you can be noticeable. It has a very retro Showa-era vibe. If you know what you’re booking, it’s not a problem. The reason for the “special condition” seemed to be that the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted, but it wasn’t an issue at all.The open-air bath and large public bath were excellent. The Onsen is free-flowing from the source, and the water was amazing. It had a slight sulfur scent and a mild silky feel, leaving my skin a bit smoother. Some areas of the open-air bath floor were slippery—almost like an ice rink.Dinner had many dishes and I was completely full. The meat fat really packed a punch.Breakfast also had many dishes and I was very satisfied.Inside the building is a bit confusing—like a maze. The small game corner requires you to turn on the power yourself, and the shop had only a small selection of items.The service—from the front desk staff, parking attendant, and dining staff—was extremely friendly; I’d give it 100/100.There is also a footbath in front of the Ryokan.*The meal photos were taken before more dishes came out afterward.*
