A long-established inn on the shores of Lake Suwa, offering a soothing stay with its own hot spring source and seasonal cuisine.

A historic Onsen Ryokan, established in 1912, stands gracefully by the shores of Lake Suwa. Enjoy breathtaking views from our guest rooms facing the lake. Just a 5-minute walk from Kamisuwa Station, indulge in our panoramic open-air bath overlooking Lake Suwa and relax in the soothing waters of our private hot spring source. Savor seasonal flavors with dishes prepared using fresh local ingredients. At night, gaze at a sky full of stars, and in the morning, bask in the warm sunlight for a truly serene experience. Our garden showcases seasonal flowers and scenery throughout the year.

  • I stayed one night with breakfast only, and the rate was reasonably priced through Yahoo Travel, so I had no issues at all.The Onsen Facility and the guest room were very clean, and I had no complaints whatsoever. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious—thank you for the wonderful meal!

  • Although Lake Suwa is usually close enough for a day trip, I decided to stay overnight to relax and enjoy the Onsen a little longer. I checked the parking in advance, but still got slightly lost. Since it was raining, I arrived at the Ryokan a bit early, and there were already many guests. I usually stay in a Hotel with a bed, but this time I was able to unwind in a tatami Room at the Ryokan.Dinner was a creative Japanese set meal with a half buffet, and it was very satisfying. The Onsen baths included one on the 1st floor and an open-air bath on the 7th floor; from the 7th-floor open-air bath, I could see Lake Suwa and the nearby mountains, which I truly enjoyed. This stay reminded me of what makes a Ryokan special. The Lake Suwa area has its own charm in every season, and I would like to come back for another relaxing stay. Thank you to all the staff for your kind service—especially for guiding me to a spacious parking area despite the rain, as my car is slightly large.
