From Tokushima Airport to Southern Awaji Island! UZS BUS Now in Service!
Starting July 20, 2026 (Marine Day), the airport bus “UZS BUS” will begin service, connecting Tokushima Awaodori Airport with the Naruto area and Minami-Awaji City!
“UZS BUS” is a new airport bus service operated in partnership by Minami-Awaji City and Tokushima Prefecture. It provides direct, no-transfer access between Tokushima Awaodori Airport and key stops including Naruto Station, AoAwo Naruto Resort, Otsuka Museum of Art, Awajishima-Minami IC, Riku-no-Minato Seidan, and Fukura—making travel to Tokushima and Awaji Island even more convenient.
Since you can get on and off along the route, it’s also ideal for visiting sightseeing spots and Accommodation.
When coming to our Hotel, please get off at the “Fukura” stop (about a 5-minute walk from the stop).
The bus exterior features a wrap design with Minami-Awaji City’s official character “Awaji Uzusuke,” illustrated by Satoshi Matsushima of the idol group “timelesz,” along with Tokushima Prefecture’s mascot “Sudachi-kun.” The charming character artwork is another highlight unique to this bus.
Also available at the roadside station near our Hotel—Michi-no-Eki Fukura / Uzushio Cruise shop—is an “Uzusuke” charity keychain. It makes a great travel keepsake or souvenir, and your purchase helps support coastal cleanup activities on Awaji Island. Why not join this effort to protect the whirlpools and beautiful sea for future generations while also supporting registration of the Naruto whirlpools as a UNESCO World Heritage site?
In addition, if you use the free “Uzu Loop Shuttle Bus” from either Riku-no-Minato Seidan or Fukura, you can easily reach popular attractions such as the Keino Matsubara area and viewpoints around the Naruto Strait.
Whether you’re arriving in Tokushima by air or traveling between Tokushima/Naruto and Minami-Awaji City, we invite you to take advantage of UZS BUS. Enjoy a comfortable ride while experiencing all that Tokushima and Awaji Island have to offer.
