    While looking for an Accommodation on the way from Ise to the Kumano Kodo, I found this place. As the Reviews said, it was a simple yet very good Accommodation. I enjoyed the instant miso soup at night and in the morning, and the breakfast bento and coffee were also delicious. The staff were very friendly as well.

  • The ideal Hotel for guests traveling by car.

    We stayed this time using a car. The Hotel does not have a restaurant, but there is a shopping center next door, so we bought dinner and snacks and ate in the Room. The Room was bright, clean, and well maintained. The bathroom has only a shower, but it was very comfortable. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful.

  • Join the “Rice Harvest Gathering” at Maruyama Senmaida!

    We are now accepting participants for the “Rice Harvest Gathering” at Maruyama Senmaida, hosted by the Kumano City Hometown Promotion Public Corporation, exclusively for guests staying at our Hotel!

    Maruyama Senmaida is one of Japan’s largest terraced rice fields and has been selected as one of the “100 Best Terraced Rice Fields in Japan.” Our Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Project joined the Maruyama Senmaida owner program in 2024, and in 2026 we have already taken part in activities such as ridge plastering in April and rice planting in May.

    This time, under guidance from local residents, you will harvest golden rice and hang bundled sheaves on drying racks (hasa) to sun-dry.
    After the work, enjoy a bento lunch while taking in views of the terraced fields.

    　* In case of rain or severe weather, cancellation will be decided by 12:00 on Friday, September 11
    ■ Location: Maruyama Senmaida
    ■ Eligibility: Guests staying at our Hotel on Friday, September 11 (the day before the event)
    ■ Fee: JPY 1,500 per person (tax included / junior high school students and older)

    Please make your own way to Maruyama Senmaida (about a 30-minute drive from the Hotel).
