A 10-minute walk from the Asakura Clan Ruins, this property sits in a quiet valley embraced by the rural scenery of Ichijodani. While preserving the kura’s signature high ceilings and solid, dignified atmosphere, the interior has been completely renewed. Enjoy underfloor heating, a projector and sound system, an indoor bath, and an open-air bath with views of the starry sky and the ridgelines of the surrounding mountains. Outside your window lies a Kyoto-style garden of about 260 tsubo (approx. 860 m²), lovingly maintained since the building was first constructed. At night, the garden and pond are illuminated, creating an enchanting scene. Rooted in Echizen’s nature and Zen aesthetics, this is an extraordinary stay where you can experience Fukui with all five senses. 20 minutes by car from Fukui Station; 10 minutes from Fukui IC.
