Nestled quietly on the outskirts of Hyakuna village in southern Okinawa Island, "mui" is a small accommodation with only four rooms. It does not offer the luxurious services or facilities of a high-end hotel. Instead, it provides a space like an "empty vessel," where guests can connect gently with nature and local life while fulfilling their journey in their own way. By blurring the boundaries between outside and inside, travel and daily life, shared and private spaces, we hope to create a place where small moments of inspiration and discovery can be felt. While you cannot see the ocean from mui, a short walk will lead you to untouched beautiful beaches. The surrounding area is rich with culture and nature cherished by locals. If mui becomes an opportunity for guests to encounter this wonderful region, its creators, and its community caretakers, nothing would make us happier.
