I recently stayed at “Garden Above the Sky” for 2 nights and 3 days. The moment I stepped into the living and dining area, I was blown away by the dramatic Yatsugatake views filling the entire wall of large windows. The spacious living room was incredibly comfortable, and the view from the bathroom was wonderfully open—simply outstanding. The kitchen is truly professional-grade, with excellent Facilities, and I really enjoyed spending time cooking. In the beautifully maintained English garden, my dog (a French Bulldog) was thrilled and ran around happily. Mountain weather changes its mood every 15 minutes or so, but simply watching it shift from the terrace or indoors was a luxurious experience that never got old. This is a special Accommodation where you can forget everyday life and feel completely refreshed in both body and mind. I would love to visit again.
クゥはな 6/24/2026This was our second stay at ASONOVA RESORT after Hakone, and our first time in Komoro City. Just like in Hakone, it was a resort house where we could truly feel the kindness, consideration, and care for both people and dogs. The amenities—both for dogs and for humans—were all well stocked, making it very convenient and comfortable for us as owners of two large dogs. The garden was spacious and there was also a terrace, so our dogs happily ran around the large property. We would love to stay again.

This prime location allows you to enjoy both Karuizawa and Yatsugatake. It’s just a 5-minute drive from the Komoro Interchange on the highway. From large windows, you can admire breathtaking panoramic views of the Wild English Garden on-site as well as Mount Hotaka, Mount Yari, and even Mount Fuji. Depending on the season or time of day, you can take your time enjoying ever-changing sceneries such as sunrise hues, sea of clouds, clear blue skies during daytime hours, sunsets in warm tones or star-filled night skies. From around November to April when winter sets in for our garden landscape—crisp air enhances unique seasonal beauty distinct from summer months. We welcome up to three dogs regardless of breed (free of charge). If your dog shares bedding with you at home (Child Sharing Existing Bedding), they are welcome to do so here too! (Please note that any damages caused will require compensation.) Additionally enjoy exploring our expansive English garden filled with blooming flowers. Komoro is renowned for its delicious vegetables! Within walking distance lies local produce stands offering fresh vegetables directly sourced nearby; we can also introduce private chefs who prepare meals using regional ingredients upon request. On our wooden deck space BBQ grills are available for rent at an additional cost allowing guests outdoor culinary experiences! Sora no Ie Garden offers an extraordinary experience found nowhere else—not even in Karuizawa itself!
