After check-in, begin your exciting stay with our black soybean sweets. Once you’ve had a moment to relax, we will guide you to a tour of the on-site black soybean sorting factory and a black soybean tea-making experience (optional: 3,500 yen per person; Reservation required).

At breakfast, enjoy a black soybean–themed selection, including mackerel marinated in black soybean miso and simmered Tamba black soybeans. After check-out, browse for souvenirs at the on-site shop, or treat yourself to Mont Blanc, parfaits, or sweet red bean soup (zenzai) at Cafe Mamedo. Spend a relaxing moment after breakfast in our Meiji-era kura library with a cup of black soybean coffee. We hope your stay leaves you with wonderful memories and souvenirs—and that you continue to enjoy “mame” days long after your trip.

A stone garden of dry landscape and moss extends across the grounds, enveloped in tranquility and mystery. Enjoy its ever-changing beauty as it shifts with the weather and the viewing angle from each guest room. In the tea room adjoining the Accommodation building, please savor our special welcome sweets, and relax in the lounge with complimentary drinks while taking in the view.

The Odakaki Shoten Main Store, located on the Mameya grounds, is a designated cultural property shop renovated from a former sake brewery dating back to the Edo period. It offers dried black beans and sweets, as well as local specialties such as Tanba chestnuts and yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam), along with regional crafts. (Open daily; 9:30–17:00) At the café “Mamedo,” you can enjoy homemade sweets such as kuromame tea and Mont Blanc while looking out over a stone garden, as well as seasonal lunch options.
