Introduction of the Accommodation
Both “Aono Hana” and “Yuki no Hana” feature a kitchen equipped with an IH cooktop, cookware, and tableware. We recommend picking up local Hida-grown vegetables and other ingredients at the nearby Miyagawa Morning Market to cook your own meals, or enjoying takeout in the machiya townhouse. A washer-dryer is also provided, making it ideal for medium- to long-term stays.
We offer an optional breakfast, available either “delivered to your machiya” or “served at a nearby café.” Choose from four styles: catered machiya breakfast (Japanese or Western-style) to enjoy in your Room, sandwiches to enjoy in your machiya, or a local café breakfast featuring Hida Takayama ingredients. *Please book a Plan with breakfast included.*
Both machiya townhouses are adorned with artwork by Shuhei Hasado, a plaster artisan born in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. The 9-meter-long piece is illuminated by light from the skylight, and its appearance shifts beautifully with the time of day, season, weather, and even your mood. Enjoy a special moment up close with this art that evokes tradition.
Takayama’s popular sightseeing area, the “Old Town,” lined with long-established sake breweries and shops in Hida Takayama, is within walking distance. About a 1-minute walk from Takayama Station—where trains and highway buses depart for the UNESCO World Heritage site Shirakawa-go, the Shinhotaka Ropeway to enjoy the nature of the Northern Alps, Kamikochi, and more—this is an ideal location for exploring the Hida region.
