The Ina Valley, located in the southern part of Nagano Prefecture, is an approximately 80km-long valley nestled between the Central Alps (Kiso Mountains) with peaks ranging from 2,600 to 2,900 meters and the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains), home to Japan's second and third highest peaks.
