We stayed here for the first time as a couple. First, the baths were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi bath on the first floor, the onsen on the second floor, and the stone sauna. Soaking in the onsen while listening to the gentle sound of the river was incredibly soothing, and I ended up staying longer than planned. The meal was yakiniku this time, and it featured very tender and high-quality meat. We quietly enjoyed it together with our own wine while listening to mood music from YouTube on a large-screen TV. Most importantly, although we initially gave up due to cloudy weather, at 2 AM we were able to see a sky full of stars—it was breathtakingly beautiful. Overall, it was an amazing stay. We definitely want to stay here again as a couple!
風呂好きおやじ 9/25/2025As with last year, we stayed here again.We returned because we loved the spacious Room, stylish furniture, and well-appointed bathroom area.This time, small refrigerators had been added on both the first and second floors. The one on the first floor came with complimentary beer, juice, water, and more, which was a pleasant surprise.Just like last year, we stayed without meals,brought our own ingredients, and cooked in the kitchen. As a request, we would appreciate it if basics like salt, pepper, and oil could be provided in slightly larger quantities.We will stay again next year.Thank you very much.

Momiji’s flower meaning is “beautiful change.” True to its name, KUREHA Momiji offers an inspiring new way to “live” on your travels as Shiobara Onsen’s first luxury condominium villa with a private open-air bath. The views. The flavors. Even your every whim. Time spent here—like a beloved home where you can style each day freely—may be the beautiful evolution of travel beyond what you’ve known.
Momiji KUREHA, overlooking the clear stream of the Hoki River right before your eyes, is a mansion-style Accommodation consisting of four condominium villas—Shiobara Onsen’s first with private open-air baths. Limited to four groups per day and adjacent to Hanare no Yado Kaedeoto, the property features a separate main building with shared Facilities and independent villa buildings. The maisonette-style villas offer an elegant garage-house design that lets you view your cherished car from the living room.
This fully detached, maisonette-style villa offers a luxurious 200 m² layout. From the Japanese-style room at the back of the floor, you can view your car parked in the garage through glass, like a showroom. The condominium-style interior is equipped with a dining table, refrigerator, and a full system kitchen. Enjoy a stay where you can savor each day as if living here with your family or loved ones.
On the second floor, in addition to a semi-open-air hot spring bath with free-flowing natural spring water where you can open the window and enjoy a soak, the villa also features a private ganbanyoku (hot stone spa) with views of Kamishiobara through glass. The ganbanyoku room can also be used as a steam sauna by adjusting the humidity with löyly. Enjoy a free and luxurious resort spa experience unique to a private villa.
At “KUREHA Momiji,” themed around guest-centered relaxation, we offer three optional meal plans to suit your preferences. Choose from “In-Room Dining (No Need to Bring Anything),” where you finish pre-prepared ingredients and dishes in your Room; a “Dining Dinner” in the shared building’s dining area; or a “Bring Your Own” style, where you bring your own ingredients and drinks.
In the front building adjacent to the villas, shared facilities include a footbath terrace overlooking the gentle stream of the Hoki River, as well as “Kureha Kitchen,” a dining restaurant offering casual bar-style dishes for guests enjoying dinner at the restaurant. The footbath terrace is also open to guests who are not using the dining facilities.

In a fully private setting that blends Hotel sophistication with the warmth of an Onsen Ryokan, enjoy a blissful stay filled with fine dining and soothing baths. One of the two villas is dog-friendly for guests traveling with their beloved pets.
