"NIWA," located just a 3-minute walk from JR Yokosuka Line's Kitakamakura Station, is a locally integrated area popular as a sightseeing spot in Kamakura, featuring a tranquil atmosphere, beautiful temples, shops, and restaurants. The building combines traditional sukiya architecture with modern Japanese elements, offering a relaxing stay and happy moments with family and friends. The host proposes Plans and supports a comfortable stay.
It was a very comfortable stay.Located in the quiet atmosphere of Kita-Kamakura and close to the station, once we stepped into the Accommodation we were able to enjoy a calm, relaxing time that felt removed from everyday life. The building and Room were spotless, and you could feel the attention to detail in the interior design and amenities. With plenty of space to unwind, it’s perfect for not overpacking your sightseeing schedule and truly enjoying your time at the Accommodation itself. The irori sauna and bath were especially memorable, and spending time while taking in the garden greenery and birdsong felt truly luxurious. The staff were also attentive, so we could stay with peace of mind.It was a wonderful Accommodation where you can experience both Kamakura’s serene charm and the special feeling that comes with having it all to yourself. I’d love to visit again in a different season.
KATO040 6/19/2026I stayed here during Golden Week.Although it’s conveniently located near Kita-Kamakura Station and ideal for sightseeing in Kamakura, once you step inside it becomes a wonderfully quiet, nature-filled retreat. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a relaxing stay while taking in the garden greenery, the sound of water, and birdsong. It’s a place where you can truly unwind and forget the bustle of the city.Throughout the Accommodation, I could feel how thoughtfully everything was designed—even down to what you see and the natural sounds around you. It wasn’t just a place to stay; it was an experience that let us savor the space with all five senses. Everywhere felt comfortable, and I found myself naturally feeling more centered. The spacious irori sauna was especially memorable. More than simply “resetting,” it gave us a luxurious chance to slow down and enjoy unhurried conversation as a family. The sauna itself felt warm and inviting, and we left feeling refreshed both physically and mentally in nature. The building and overall design were beautiful as well. We enjoyed sightseeing during the day, then spent calm, fulfilling time at the Accommodation—making it a wonderful Golden Week memory. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again in another season.

Introduction of the Accommodation

The dining area, designed to "naturally gather," features stunning views from the spacious veranda and an overwhelming sense of openness. Equipped with underfloor heating, it provides comfortable warmth even in winter.

The island-style modern kitchen is equipped with carefully selected utensils and cooking tools. We also offer a dinner Plan featuring course meals prepared by a private chef.

A sauna designed with the traditional Japanese cultural element of the irori (sunken hearth). The irori was not only a source of warmth and cooking but also a place for people to gather and communicate. This is a new type of communication sauna where family and friends naturally come together and conversations flow. We have adopted the Finnish-style löyly sauna, originating from the birthplace of saunas. By pouring water over sauna stones to create steam (löyly) and increase humidity, it offers a lower temperature compared to the conventional dry saunas popular in Japan, allowing even those who are not fond of saunas to enjoy a longer and more comfortable experience.

【Cold Water Bath】Utilizing natural well water sourced from within the premises. Despite being a shallow well with a depth of only 4.5m, it boasts an abundant water supply and is minimally affected by annual temperature variations, with a temperature difference of approximately 1°C between summer and winter. Enhance your sauna experience with a cold water bath featuring excellent water quality. After the cold water bath, relax in the unique outdoor air bath space overlooking the Kamakura stone cave and bamboo grove.

A garden designed to showcase the natural beauty of native plants, allowing you to enjoy the changing seasons. The layout invites exploration, offering various perspectives of the two buildings as you stroll through. The spacious terrace of the main house seamlessly connects to the garden, creating a unified space that fosters diverse interactions.
