In a quintessential Japanese landscape that still retains the atmosphere of the former Mariko post town on the old Tokaido, you will find the craft Accommodation “Waraku.” This restored traditional house offers a warmth and nostalgia that only time can create, in harmony with handcrafted works by skilled artisans. Morning sunlight pours over the satoyama, accompanied by birdsong. On moonlit nights, gaze up at the sky; on rainy nights, listen to the sound soaking into the earth. Feel beauty as beauty. In this calming Japanese-style space, please savor a special stay for anniversaries, creating memories, and a journey of self-renewal in search of beauty. We offer five annex Rooms (Wa, Raku, Doma, Kura, Fuji), each equipped with a private sauna and hinoki bath, as well as three Rooms (Ichihime, Ichiro, Ichie) in the front building where Waraku’s reception and OCHA SPA are located. Each Room is thoughtfully arranged to honor its own character and charm so you can relax in comfort. Please take your time and unwind.
The service was excellent.There are also Facilities nearby where you can enjoy various activities.When we went out to eat, they drove us there by cart, which was a big help even in the heat.It’s close to Shizuoka Station, and I didn’t expect to find such a relaxing Accommodation so nearby. I would recommend this Accommodation to others.
桜田町 7/14/2026We arrived later than planned, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t make use of the various Facilities.The Room had a wonderful atmosphere and felt very relaxing. The blend of that calm ambiance with modern features such as the unit bath was lovely and very comfortable.The staff’s smiles and thoughtful hospitality were also great.We only had breakfast, but it made excellent use of local ingredients and was very delicious!We’d definitely like to visit again when we can take our time.

A private sauna to relax both body and mind, and a premium hinoki cypress bath. Enjoy a luxurious escape from everyday life in this special Room designed for ultimate relaxation. *Only 5 rooms available in the annex.*
A short walk from the Accommodation, you will find the “Fukisarashi Bath,” where you can fully experience the natural beauty of the satoyama countryside. Please enjoy this open-air bath, built with a handcrafted round-log construction method.
