Regarding Changes to Meal Plans

Starting May 11, 2026, our dining style will change from teppan-style to an irori (traditional hearth) dining experience.
A traditional Japanese-style accommodation featuring a calming tatami room and the striking contrast of a splendid Western-style building.
A new open-air bath was added in November 2024. Enjoy a relaxing soak while taking in views of the courtyard. A classic Japanese-Western residence of approximately 200 m², beautifully lit by antique lamps. From a calm Japanese-style room overlooking the courtyard, walk down the corridor and you’ll find a Western-style wing with a completely different atmosphere. The kura storehouse connected to the interior features a wine bar and a theater room. In the evening, enjoy teppanyaki that pairs perfectly with wine, or gather around a bonfire in the garden. With exclusive use of the entire traditional house, spend an unforgettable stay unique to “Tsutaya,” where each space and each moment offers something special.
Checked in after visiting nearby wineries. This time, we chose a No Meals Included plan and fully enjoyed private time for just the two of us—absolutely satisfying. We paired the wine we brought with game meat purchased from a local butcher and vegetables from a roadside market, cooking them on an iron plate. The retro-style dining area allowed us to enjoy this self-catering experience without any interruptions—it was perfect. The luxury of eating what you want, when you want it! With all the necessary cutlery provided, all you need to bring are your ingredients.Despite being a traditional Japanese house, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bedroom was extremely comfortable. The open-air bath was also fantastic! Surrounded by quiet vineyards, it was an ideal place to unwind and relieve daily stress at our own pace.Highly recommended as a base for winery tours or exploring Yamanashi while enjoying luxurious moments tailored to your own schedule.
We recently stayed as a couple at this accommodation. This exclusive accommodation, limited to one group per day, offered a special sense of luxury. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an extraordinary atmosphere and enjoyed a truly indulgent time. This time, our stay was No Meals Included. We purchased ingredients from a nearby local supermarket and enjoyed cooking on the large iron plate provided at the accommodation. It was an experience we don’t often have, and cooking together while chatting made for wonderful memories. At check-in, the staff kindly explained everything about the accommodation in detail. After that, we had no inconveniences and spent our time comfortably. The open-air bath in the courtyard was particularly amazing; it offered completely different charms during daylight hours and when illuminated at night. Additionally, soaking in the "wine bath" made with local wine provided by the accommodation felt incredibly luxurious and allowed us to relax deeply. The wine cellar within the property was another convenient feature where guests could purchase drinks or alcohol. Being able to enjoy local wines without leaving the premises was greatly appreciated. The property is very spacious with minimal steps throughout its design. Next time, we hope to bring both sides of our family for a larger group stay! We were able to immerse ourselves in this house's history as well as experience Yamanashi’s unique Katsunuma atmosphere—truly making it an unforgettable visit.Every corner of this beautifully designed space impressed us so much that we spent over an hour taking photos after checking in!Thank you for such a memorable stay—we will definitely return again!

Tsutaya is a traditional Japanese house with a spacious garden, once the birthplace of an entrepreneur who achieved success both in Japan and abroad.
