Newly opened in April 2023! Hououkan is a modern Japanese-style building featuring a semi-open-air large cypress bath and a stone sauna. The three buildings are connected by corridors, with two courtyards designed within the premises. The first floor (160 square meters) includes two 8-tatami mat Japanese-style Rooms, and the small second floor offers direct access to the courtyard from the Rooms, with space for double futons. Additionally, there is a dining kitchen and a terrace garden accessible from the living room, where BBQs are possible. Local chefs can prepare meals in an open kitchen on-site, allowing you to enjoy seasonal seafood from Minamiboso or Boso sushi. The illuminated exterior and courtyards, sophisticated interior facilities, large cypress bath, and stone sauna were all designed to provide relaxation for both mind and body.   • It was an excellent facility.

    Our family trip with seven people was very relaxing. We also brought two dogs, and they had plenty of space to run around. Since we weren’t sure about the local garbage disposal rules, we did basic sorting and left the rest to the host. We’d love to stay again next time.

  • Just right.

    We stayed with a couple of friends and our children, five people in total. The Room was just the right size and we were able to relax comfortably. We were happy that the Room was already cooled with the air conditioner when we arrived. We could also tell there was a lot of attention to detail in the bathroom. Some features were so high-tech that we didn’t fully understand them, but overall we were satisfied. However, the BBQ area faced directly onto the road, which felt a bit embarrassing.
