[New Plan Now Available] One Group per Day Thatched-Roof Traditional House Stay “Kura Sauna” Plan
We are pleased to announce that hitaru Ishibashi Residence has launched a new Plan, “One Group per Day Thatched-Roof Traditional House Stay ‘Kura Sauna’ Plan
hitaru Ishibashi Residence is an exclusive, one-group-per-day thatched-roof traditional house Accommodation, renovated from the former residence of swordsmiths whose lineage dates back to the late Edo period. Nestled in the satoyama countryside of Osao, Kitahiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture—where Japan’s timeless rural scenery remains—you can unwind and enjoy nature as it changes with the seasons.
The newly created “Kura Sauna” makes use of an on-site historic kura storehouse, blending atmospheric character with modern comfort in a private sauna setting. Surrounded by the kura’s solid, distinctive ambiance, you can enjoy self löyly and gently reset both body and mind.
After your sauna session, we provide a cold plunge bath and an outdoor relaxation area. In addition, our infinity bath overlooking the satoyama landscape lets you take in sweeping views of Mt. Kanbiki and the rural fields of Osao while enjoying an open-air moment of deep relaxation. The scenery shifts beautifully from morning to midday, dusk, and night—another unique highlight of this location.
This Plan accommodates 2 to 9 guests. It is ideal for families and friends alike, as well as couples or groups of sauna enthusiasts. As only one group is hosted per day, both the Accommodation and sauna are entirely yours—no need to worry about others.
As this is a No Meals Included plan, feel free to bring your favorite ingredients and drinks—cook in the island kitchen or spend quality time together in the spacious living room—and enjoy your stay at your own pace.
A special experience woven together by a historic traditional house, the Kura Sauna, and satoyama nature. Escape everyday noise and savor a quiet yet luxurious time with those who matter most—only at hitaru Ishibashi Residence.
