From the dream of one couple, BUCKEYE HOUSE was born—a private rental villa limited to one group per day. This villa was created by renovating an old mansion that had been dormant for decades on the shores of Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. Clearing the grove of trees that once separated the lakeside from the mansion, a wooden deck terrace was built, revealing a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji in a miraculous composition. 'The lofty peak of Fuji in Suruga, No matter how often I see it, I never tire of it.' These are the words of Takahashi no Mushimaro, a poet from the Nara period.
