The area between Nishi-Izu Matsuzaki and Shimoda is Minami-Izu

Approximate travel times by car: Shimoda Station 40 minutes, Hirizo Beach 30 minutes, Yumigahama 30 minutes

Taking the route via Mishima and Nishi-Izu offers a scenic drive, and even during the peak season, the area around Minami-Izu is less crowded compared to Higashi-Izu and Shimoda, except for Hirizo Beach and Yumigahama.

We recommend the scenic drive via Mishima and Nishi-Izu

To avoid traffic congestion on the Tomei Expressway during peak season, we also recommend renting a car from Izukyu-Shimoda Station or Shuzenji Station.
