About the Terrace of Sea, Forest, and Stars
At the Blue Ocean Resort, surrounded by the rich nature of Ishigaki Island, the areas are divided into "Sea," "Forest," and "Star," and are referred to as "Terraces."
This is a region where you can experience both the forest and sea, the original beauty of Ishigaki Island, as well as the tranquility and the chirping of birds. Please enjoy the beautiful nature full of charm.
[Sea Terrace]
A one-minute walk through the jungle that spreads out in front of the Blue Ocean Resort. In front of you lies a quiet sea surrounded by vast coral reefs and a small secret beach. Colorful and cute fish will greet you right at the water's edge.
On sunny days during low tide, you can walk about 50 meters across the shallow waters from the shore. The sight of people standing between the clear blue sky and the sea reflecting the sky is a fantastic scene, as if you have wandered into a world of mirrors. You can see tropical fish in their natural state without diving, which is unique to this secret beach. Change into marine shoes and take a stroll.
[Forest Terrace]
From the living room window of your Room, you can see the jungle spreading beyond the private pool. A private garden facing the jungle of Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park. We grow many island fruits such as island bananas, shikuwasa, lemons, acerola, and colorful tropical flowers like hibiscus and allamanda.
Beyond the jungle lies the East China Sea, and if you look to the right, you can see the symbol of Ishigaki Island, "Nosoko Maape." When you step out onto the terrace, be sure to listen to the sounds of the waves and wind, and the melodies of birds, frogs, and insects.
Each Room in the Forest Terrace has its own private pool and camping & BBQ space.
[Star Terrace]
In front of the Blue Ocean Resort is the jungle and the sea. There are no artificial structures or streetlights. The rooftop is truly the best spot for stargazing. You can enjoy the starry sky, designated as Japan's first starry sky reserve by the Dark Sky Association, from the starry sky terrace on the villa rooftop, unobstructed by city lights. You will be healed in mind and body by the Milky Way and the starry sky that you can never see in the city.
From autumn to winter, you can see Japan's largest terrestrial firefly, "Oshima Madobotaru," from the terrace on the premises. Although the number of inhabitants is small, try looking into the forest while stargazing.
