Introduction of the Accommodation

All guest rooms are private, standalone villas, limited to one group per day. Each villa is created in collaboration with local artisans and makers, crafted as a work of art in its own right. With intricate woodcarving and fine craftsmanship throughout, the interiors offer a truly special stay—like spending the night in a gallery. No two villas are alike; each one invites you into its own unique world.

A new style of stay called “Machiyado,” where the entire town becomes one Hotel. From the moment you check in, cobblestone alleys, the warm glow of workshops, and even the town’s sounds and atmosphere become part of your journey. Rather than simply visiting attractions, you spend your time living within the town. By surrendering to a pace of time different from everyday life, your trip becomes deeper and more enriching.

Inami is known as one of Japan’s leading towns for wood carving. The skills and sense of beauty passed down over many years still live on in everyday life here. By staying at the Accommodation, you’ll naturally connect not only with the works themselves, but also with the makers and their stories. Here, craftsmanship feels not like an “exhibit,” but like a part of daily life.

We offer an experience where you visit a local artisan’s workshop and discover the appeal of traditional crafts at the actual production site. Hold the tools used in daily work and spend time working with the materials under the artisan’s guidance. It’s an authentic hands-on making experience—almost like becoming an apprentice for a day. We offer five workshops: ・Woodblock print carving ・Carved wooden small plate ・Carved wooden spoon ・Lacquered chopsticks ・Wood-scented fragrance Spend about 2.5 hours creating while watching expert techniques up close. Not only the finished piece, but also the process itself will become a lasting memory. Please enjoy the depth of craftsmanship unique to this town. *Workshops are optional (additional fee applies). *Available dates vary depending on the artisan’s schedule. If you would like to join, please select “I would like a workshop” when making your Reservation.

The guest rooms scattered throughout town are private-rental Accommodations, each carefully renovated from a historic traditional house. Preserving the original beams, fittings, and the character of the materials, each space has been renewed with modern comfort in mind. Inside, newness and nostalgia blend in quiet harmony—an embodiment of the time layered into this town. More than just a place to stay, enjoy a visit that connects you with memories of architecture and everyday life.
