We offer an experience where you visit a local artisan’s workshop and discover the appeal of traditional crafts at the actual production site. Hold the tools used in daily work and spend time working with the materials under the artisan’s guidance. It’s an authentic hands-on making experience—almost like becoming an apprentice for a day. We offer five workshops: ・Woodblock print carving ・Carved wooden small plate ・Carved wooden spoon ・Lacquered chopsticks ・Wood-scented fragrance Spend about 2.5 hours creating while watching expert techniques up close. Not only the finished piece, but also the process itself will become a lasting memory. Please enjoy the depth of craftsmanship unique to this town. *Workshops are optional (additional fee applies). *Available dates vary depending on the artisan’s schedule. If you would like to join, please select “I would like a workshop” when making your Reservation.
