The Accommodation is located in the heart of Obama City, where historic streetscapes still remain. While preserving the character of a traditional machiya townhouse, the interior has been newly designed with a modern Japanese style and timeless traditional touches, and is equipped with clean, convenient Facilities and appliances. Obama, facing Wakasa Bay, is the starting point of the “Saba Kaido” (Mackerel Road), which once carried seafood to Kyoto. With a rich food culture shaped by its history as Miketsukuni, Wakasa lacquerware, port-town scenery, and streetscapes designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, this is a town where the more you walk, the more you discover.
