Introduction of the Accommodation

Hayama, Manase. A quiet harbor town not far from central Tokyo. A townscape lined with the sea and mountains, abundant nature and local ingredients, and distinctive shops. In the slow flow of time, you can experience everyday life unique to this town. Minato no Akari is an Accommodation nestled close to daily life in Manase.

Originally the home of a fisherman working in this port town. While preserving the charm of a traditional Japanese house, it has been thoughtfully updated to suit modern living. The scent of tatami and the warmth of wood bring a comforting sense of nostalgia.

Right in front of the Accommodation, the sea of Manase stretches out before you. On clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji across the water. At dusk with Mt. Fuji in view, and early mornings wrapped in the sound of waves. The calm sea will gently restore your sense of time.

Except at night, our staff are on-site in the separate annex next to the main house where you will be staying. Please let us know if you need anything. We are here to assist you throughout your stay while keeping a comfortable distance.

One booking per day—your private time, just for you.
Because we host only one group per day, the pace of time and the way you spend it are entirely up to you. Here, you’ll find a special kind of luxury: nothing at all.
