Aumakua Hütte

Our Hotel is a small Accommodation located in Motegi Town, Tochigi Prefecture, along the Nakagawa River that runs across Northern Kanto.

Here, you’ll find the flow of the river, the warmth of fire, the presence of trees, the sound of wind passing through, and scenery that shifts with each season. We wanted to create time to once again savor—carefully and fully—the simple acts of eating, warming up, and sharing conversation, while listening closely to what already exists in this land. Stay close to the riverside view as you warm yourself in a wood-fired sauna, enjoy a meal, and talk together in nature. Little by little, each person returns gently to their own senses. Rather than piling on luxury or convenience, we hope that by spending time with nature you can rediscover richness within yourself—and with someone else. With that vision in mind, Aumakua Hütte was born.
