Opened in April 2025, the hot spring Accommodation closest to the World Heritage site is now open.

Reborn as "Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen Ryokan ITSUMU" after the history of its predecessor, Kinugawa-so. ITSUMU boasts an excellent location as a tourism hub, situated in the heart of the Tohoku region. We strive to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests and allow them to fully experience the charm of Oshu. With hospitality rooted in the local "people," "culture," and "history," we warmly welcome you.

  • We had a very comfortable stay. The Accommodation is on a hill, and the panoramic view of fresh spring greenery was amazing. The building was very clean, perhaps recently renovated. The staff greeted us with smiles and were very pleasant. The coffee server service in the lobby was also nice. The Room was clean and stylish, which we liked. However, the floor chair was a bit difficult to use. The bath was uncrowded and clean, and the water felt great—my skin became so smooth. My husband did mention that the razor wasn’t very good, though. For dinner, we upgraded to the Maezawa beef steak—it was truly delicious and we were impressed. It was Japanese cuisine just to our taste, and everything was excellent. Breakfast was also delicious across the board; we even had seconds of rice, and the milk was especially tasty. It was an outstanding Accommodation.

  • This was my first stay. The location is convenient for sightseeing, yet it is very quiet, with beautiful views and the sounds of wild birds clearly audible. The meals and the Onsen were also very satisfying. Thanks to this, I was able to make wonderful memories in Hiraizumi.
