Reborn as "Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen Ryokan ITSUMU" after the history of its predecessor, Kinugawa-so. ITSUMU boasts an excellent location as a tourism hub, situated in the heart of the Tohoku region. We strive to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests and allow them to fully experience the charm of Oshu.   • Just as described in the Review

    We wanted to stop by Chuson-ji at the end of our Tohoku trip, and were able to stay at the Accommodation we’d had our eye on—Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen Ryokan—at a great price with an Iwate discount coupon. Just as the Reviews said, every dish made with local ingredients was delicious! From the Maezawa beef at dinner to the sake and local craft beer, everything went down so smoothly. The hattō soup for breakfast and “Ihatov” Onsen rice were beyond our expectations. On top of that, the staff were always smiling and made us feel truly welcome. The self-serve coffee in the lobby was also excellent! The Onsen was at just the right temperature, and through the open window frame we looked up at the Mid-Autumn full moon floating above a courtyard lightly touched with autumn colors—what a luxury. We enjoyed a blissful moment. We talked as a family about wanting to stay again, but since we’ve already visited Chuson-ji twice, we immediately started searching for other places in Iwate we’d like to visit next time—and wondered if we could stay here again since it’s only about an hour away. Thanks to your wonderful hospitality and cuisine, we could perfectly wrap up our 4-night, 5-day Tohoku trip. Thank you very much.   • Exquisite Pudding

    Overall, the stay was extremely comfortable, and we were very satisfied with both the hot springs and the meals. In particular, everyone’s thoughtful attention and warm hospitality during mealtimes made us feel truly cared for.Our top recommendation is the pudding. We ended up having several—an exceptional dessert with a rich blend of egg and milk and a clean, pure taste. We liked it so much we wanted to buy some to take home as a souvenir.It would be appreciated if bath towels were available in the bathing area, and if hot tea other than barley tea could be offered with meals.Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.
