[Updated August 14] Operating Status and Transportation Access for Facilities in the Kurokawa Onsen Area Following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake. We sincerely wish for a swift recovery and rebuilding.
[Operating Status]
Following the earthquake, we inspected our buildings, Facility, and utilities. At this time, no damage has been confirmed that would significantly affect stays or in-house services. The following three Accommodations are operating as usual.

- Yukyo no Hibiki Yusai
- Yusai Annex
[For Guests Arriving by Car]
From Fukuoka / Saga:
You can reach Kurokawa Onsen via Dazaifu IC, Tosu JCT, the Oita Expressway, Hita IC, and Route 212.
From Oita / Beppu / Yufuin:
From Oita/Beppu: via the Oita Expressway (Kokonoe IC).
From Yufuin: via the Yamanami Highway toward Senomoto.
From Kumamoto / Aso Kumamoto Airport:
Head toward Aso and travel via Milk Road (Prefectural Route 339).
From Miyazaki:
The closure between Matsubase IC and Ebino IC on the Kyushu Expressway was lifted at 6:00 AM on August 14 and is now passable. However, two-way traffic restrictions remain in place between Miyahara SA and Yatsushiro IC.
[Public Transportation]
The Fukuoka–Kurokawa Onsen route resumed normal service from August 4.
Some services of the Kyushu Odan Bus (linking Kumamoto, Kurokawa Onsen, Yufuin, and Beppu) are suspended until August 31.
Road and traffic conditions may change due to aftershocks, restoration work, weather conditions, etc. Please check the latest updates from NEXCO West Japan (NEXCO Nishinihon), JARTIC, Kyushu Sanko Bus, and other sources before departure.
