Onsen and bath

Onsen and bath

The characteristic of Obama Onsen is the steam rising from various parts of the town. This is due to the high source temperature of 105°C and abundant water volume. The heat generated by the temperature and water volume of the Onsen is the highest in Japan. Eco-friendly initiatives utilizing the heat of the Onsen, such as "Onsen steaming" which uses the rising steam to cook food, are also thriving.

Room
Stay at the Showa retro-style main building and the modern annex.

The main building was completed in Showa 12. Despite undergoing several renovations, much of the original architecture remains, showcasing intricate craftsmanship throughout. Rooms with open-air baths are available. The annex is a seven-story reinforced concrete structure. It offers views of Tachibana Bay or the townscape of Obama with its hot spring steam. Both Japanese and Western-style rooms are available.

Meal
Seafood from Tachibana Bay, mountain delicacies from the Shimabara Peninsula

Fresh seafood and mountain delicacies nurtured by the Shimabara Peninsula. Seasonal flavors. We offer kaiseki cuisine abundantly using local ingredients.
