A tranquil mountain retreat boasting an open-air bath with a hidden paradise ambiance.

A property located in a valley, just a 10-minute walk from the renowned Kazura Bridge in the village of Iya. The morning mist rising from the deep mountain valleys is a sight worth seeing. Vibrant greenery, chirping birds, and the sound of babbling streams. The countryside cuisine, focusing on river delicacies, is also highly praised.

  • Unfortunately, it was raining due to a typhoon and the Yoshino River was swollen and muddy, but thanks to the wonderful hospitality at Kazuraya, it became a great memory. Every dinner dish was delicious, and the difference in flavors compared with the Kanto region felt refreshingly new. Dinner portions were quite generous, so I couldn’t finish breakfast—such a shame…The Room was spacious and very clean; it almost felt like a waste for just one night. There’s only a mirror in the wash area, so it was a bit dark and inconvenient for doing makeup. A small handheld makeup mirror or an extra simple mirror would be helpful. There are many stairs and it isn’t barrier-free, so I’d like to visit again while I’m still fit.Overall, I think this is a very comfortable Ryokan!
