A tranquil standalone accommodation nestled in the deep nature of Nishiwaga Town, Iwate Prefecture, once celebrated in the haiku of Masaoka Shiki. Enjoy creative cuisine made with ingredients from northeastern Tohoku and savor the seasonal beauty to your heart's content. Our pride is our Onsen, offering 100% natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source in all baths, including indoor baths, open-air baths, private baths, and guest room open-air baths.
For dinner, we chose the luxurious full-course Maezawa beef option. Every dish was absolutely delicious, but the portions were honestly too large for us (next time, the standard Plan will be more than enough). The open-air bath in our Room and the open-air bath at the large public bath were both excellent. From check-in to departure, the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout—this is a wonderful Onsen Ryokan that makes you want to come back.
The Room was compact, but it didn’t feel particularly cramped. Since there were no window screens, it was a bit troublesome that insects could get in. There was also no insect spray provided in the Room. The meals exceeded what I expected from the Reviews, and I was very satisfied. The bath with excellent spring quality was also very good. Amenities were provided in appropriate amounts, so I didn’t feel any inconvenience. Also, there are no convenience stores nearby, and there are hardly any shops between the highway interchange and the Accommodation, so I recommend preparing what you need in advance.
