A small, all-inclusive Accommodation in Oku-Chichibu. It features six Rooms in the main building and a special two-story suite with an open-air bath, “Annex Kaguya.” We take pride in our creative kaiseki cuisine, carefully prepared with local ingredients and naturally derived seasonings. Enjoy handmade gelato, smoked specialties, sweets, and more than 30 kinds of drinks—including draft beer and craft beer—all included in the Accommodation Fee. Three private baths are available as many times as you like during your stay.
Upon arriving at the Accommodation, we were welcomed with “Welcome home.” From that moment, we felt a warm atmosphere, and the staff kindly guided us through everything so we could fully enjoy the all-inclusive experience. After check-in, we had cocoa and coffee at the café; after a bath, we enjoyed some drinks—making the time before dinner truly worthwhile. You can feel the attention to detail throughout the Accommodation. It’s a place I’d love to return to and highly recommend!
Thank you very much for taking care of us again. We contacted you at the last minute about the meal portions, and we truly appreciate your kind and flexible response. This time we visited as three generations, and our elderly family members were especially pleased with the thoughtful care shown by all the staff. Above all, it is quiet and well maintained. The meals, made with mainly local ingredients, are carefully prepared and delicious. The private Onsen is also very relaxing. Drinks and snacks are all-inclusive. We could not ask for anything more. MEAL: What does it mean for food to be made with love?
We use no refined sugar or salt at all, and our miso and dressings are homemade. Making the most of Chichibu-grown ingredients, we serve delicious food at its very best. When I asked myself what I would want my loved ones to eat, the answer was wonderfully simple.
DRINK: No “all-you-can-drink” here.
Drinks during the meal are served one glass at a time. They’re premium beverages from Chichibu, and we want you to enjoy them at their very best. Fresh barrel-drawn wine from Usagida Winery and our host’s homemade cocoa—everything is exceptional.
Onsen Bath Surrounded by Whispering Bamboo
The baths at Taketori Monogatari use “Ogano Onsen Dairyuji Gensen,” a well-loved Onsen and one of Chichibu’s most representative hot springs since the Edo period. Our three private baths with open-air tubs are available to use as many times as you like during your stay, whenever they are vacant. *Note: Kiten-no-Yu and Nagomi-no-Yu have Onsen water in the indoor bath only / Takekage-no-Yu has Onsen water in both the indoor bath and the open-air bath.*
● Onjuku Taketori Monogatari is an "adults-only" accommodation, allowing only those of junior high school age and above.

Exit the Kan-Etsu Expressway at Hanazono IC and take Route 140 towards Chichibu. From the Uenomachi intersection in Chichibu City, drive 5.3 km (approximately 10 minutes). Look for the "Kaguya-hime" sign as your landmark.
If coming from Yamanashi, pass through the Karisaka Tunnel (toll road), cross the first railroad crossing of Chichibu Railway, and turn right 1.3 km ahead. As our sign may be hard to spot, please use "Osawa Grape Farm" next door as a reference point.
Our Ryokan is located at the end of a narrow road off the main route—while you may think, "Is there really a Ryokan here?," rest assured and proceed confidently!
【By Train】
Take Seibu Railway to its terminal station [Seibu-Chichibu] Station. Exit through the ticket gate and walk left for about 5 minutes to reach [Ohanabatake] Station on Chichibu Railway.
From [Ohanabatake], board a train heading towards Mitsumineguchi and get off at [Urayamaguchi] Station (2 stops away). If you board a train that terminates at [Kagemori] Station (1 stop before Urayamaguchi), you can also disembark there without issue.
Please note that Chichibu Railway operates only 2-3 trains per hour; we recommend checking train schedules in advance for your convenience.
