Soothe travel fatigue in our open-air bath and sauna, featuring a natural hot spring that first sprang forth in Kochi. Our executive chef, winner of the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award, visits the market every morning to carefully select the finest seasonal Tosa ingredients of the day. Enjoy them with our kaiseki dinner and breakfast buffet. Within walking distance of Kochi Castle and Hirome Market, it is an ideal base for sightseeing. Perfect for a wide range of occasions—from business trips to families and couples celebrating anniversaries or birthdays (consecutive selection in “100 Best Ryokan in The whole country”).

The hospitality of all the staff is outstanding.

  • We had a comfortable stay!

    The entrance gate was impressive—I could really feel the history and prestige. Our guest Room was a Japanese-style Room, and it had plenty of space for a family of three. It was also nice that they provided a power strip to make up for the lack of outlets, which is common in Japanese-style Rooms. The service was polite, and the staff were attentive, which left a great impression. The bath was natural Onsen water and felt wonderful, but it did feel a bit limited with only one open-air bath in addition to the indoor bath and sauna. We only had breakfast; being able to choose what we liked from the buffet was great, but compared with other Accommodations, the selection felt somewhat limited. The food tasted good.Overall, I have no real complaints—just minor points—so I’m satisfied. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Kochi.

A Japanese garden is adorned with a 600-year-old mukunoki (Chinese hackberry) tree and satsuki azaleas donated by feudal lords from The whole country during the domain government era. There is also a commemorative sign marking the visit of Takamori Saigo, who arrived as an envoy of the Satsuma Domain to hold a Four Lords’ Conference to plan the transfer of power from Yoshinobu Tokugawa, and who met with Yodo Yamauchi at the viewing pavilion.
