Stay at an accommodation overlooking Kinko Bay and soak in an onsen rich in beauty-enhancing minerals.

Kinkoro, Koran-no-Yu, is located on the outskirts of Satsuma at Japan’s southernmost tip. An ocean panorama unfolds before you, with views of Sakurajima, Kinko Bay, and the Osumi Peninsula. Our free-flowing cloudy Onsen water from a private source contains over six times the standard level of metasilicic acid, known for its skin-beautifying properties. For dinner, please enjoy kaiseki cuisine featuring seasonal flavors of Satsuma.

  • I visited on a solo trip to Kyushu. I stayed for two nights, and both dinners were delicious. I could see Sakurajima from my Room, and the Onsen was very relaxing—overall, it was a very satisfying trip. The Shuttle Service from the station was also provided multiple times. However, perhaps due to the extreme heat of the season, the air conditioning in the hallway felt weak, and I ended up a bit sweaty on the way back to my Room after bathing.

  • It was calm and relaxing after the holiday rush. They provided Shuttle Service to the station and to the sand bath, and the meals were very filling—both dinner and breakfast were excellent. I was also able to unwind in the Onsen while looking out at the sea. Tea service was available as well.
