First in the Kirishima Onsen area! Sand Bath Onsen “Kirisuna”
A sand bath Onsen—rare even across the whole country—has opened at Kirishima Kokusai Hotel.
The sand bath area of “Kirisuna” features 2 sections with 28 beds and can be used by men and women at the same time.
With lockers and shower rooms, you can experience this uniquely Japanese bathing style.
■ Sand Bath Onsen “Kirisuna” ■
The pressure of the sand and high heat promote heavy perspiration, providing a refreshing sensation that warms your entire body from the core in a short time.
The sand used has undergone component testing and data analysis for compatibility with sulfur springs. Instead of the sea sand used in Ibusuki, we use silica sand derived from Shirasu (mountain sand), which is expected to support beautiful skin.
During your sand bath experience, you can also use the popular mud pack “Kirika” free of charge.
