Enjoy a high-quality Onsen experience in six unique private baths, including a natural rock outdoor bath and spacious stone or cozy wooden indoor baths.

Onsen and bath

The Onsen at Nakao Plateau features high-temperature steam springs. While water is added to adjust the temperature, it is a "safe, clean, and natural" free-flowing style with no chlorine disinfection or circulation.

Meal

A popular year-round dish at Nakaodaira is the "Hida Beef Roast" served during dinner. The "Grilled Iwana Wrapped in Bamboo Leaves" is free of any unpleasant odor and is renowned for its unique savory aroma.

Room

There are only 6 Rooms in 3 different types, each equipped with a toilet with a cleaning device and a washbasin.

An Accommodation where you can unwind and immerse yourself in nature and hot springs
This is a truly wonderful Accommodation. It is decorated with many artistic handmade pieces that blend seamlessly with the furnishings, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The four indoor baths are set up so you can tell whether each one is “Available” or “In Use,” and they were never all occupied, so we could bathe freely. Two baths are sized for 1–2 people, and the other two are a bit larger with great views. The water feels fantastic. There is also an outdoor bath that you lock from the outside before entering. This open-air bath is simply excellent. You can spend unhurried time surrounded by nature, with plenty of mineral deposits in the water as well. The short walk to get there is lovely too, and various wildflowers welcome you along the way. The owner was very kind, and the hand-dripped coffee was delicious. It’s an Accommodation that makes you want to come back (and feels like coming home).
