Proud of its flowing Onsen from three natural sources. A long-established inn at the birthplace of Hitoyoshi Onsen.

Established in 1910, this historic Ryokan is the birthplace of Hitoyoshi Onsen. Enjoy the luxury of three private hot spring sources with different water qualities, all flowing freely. The Ryokan offers rooms with semi-open-air Onsen baths, private baths, and a newly built sauna, allowing you to fully indulge in a relaxing hot spring experience. Our proud cuisine is carefully prepared with ingredients from our own garden and seasonal local produce. The attached Italian dining also receives high praise for its pizzas and pastas crafted by young chefs. From the guest rooms, you can enjoy views of the Kuma River, and within the facility, relax on the terrace or by the fireplace, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of daily life.

  • Both the meals and the bath were excellent.

  • I have stayed at other Accommodations in Hitoyoshi Onsen before, but I was looking forward to this Accommodation because it is known as the birthplace of Hitoyoshi Onsen. There are three hot spring sources, and I enjoyed all of the baths, but my favorite was Source No. 1, the original spring. You have to go down a staircase to reach it, so it may be a bit difficult for guests with mobility issues, but it had a wonderful atmosphere and was very nice. This time I stayed in a triple-bed Room, and it also had a tatami living area where I could relax and chat comfortably with my friends. The view was great as well—we could clearly see the river—and the Room was bright. The meals were elaborate and packed with delicious Kumamoto specialties. Everything was excellent. Since there was only one bath towel per person, it would have been even better if there had been an extra one for each guest. Thank you very much.
