A property boasting a stunning view of the "World's Best Scenery" featuring Satsuma Fuji floating on the horizon.
From every room of the Property, you can enjoy views of Mount Kaimondake and the sea, praised by Tadataka Ino as "the most magnificent scenery." Proudly offering fresh Ise lobsters, you can savor a variety of Ise lobster dishes year-round, prepared with traditional techniques. Enjoy a blissful time accompanied by rare shochu.
The staff provide courteous and kind service. The bath and in-room amenities are well stocked. As it was midwinter, a warming gel pack had been placed inside the bedding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a cozy, warm futon. The Room air conditioner kept us plenty warm, and a fan heater was also provided as a backup to further heat the room if needed. The meals were excellent in both taste and portion size. We were able to fully enjoy spiny lobster until we were completely satisfied. Overall, it is a wonderful Accommodation with an elegant atmosphere.
ロデム200 2/2/2026Unable to find accommodation in the Ibusuki area, we discovered this place on the map and decided to stay. We initially thought it might be an old ryokan and didn’t have high expectations, but we were completely proven wrong. The building may indeed be old, but it is so well-maintained that you hardly notice. The room with a view of Kaimon was absolutely fantastic. The staff's hospitality was incredibly pleasant, and you can tell they are well-trained. And above all, the meals! While the lobster feast at dinner was delicious, what truly impressed us was breakfast. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the salmon juicy, and the rice glossy and perfect. It was both luxurious yet comforting with a nostalgic touch—absolutely delightful! If we’re ever in the area again, we would love to visit once more!

Introduction of the Accommodation

■Point 1■ A property offering views praised by Tadataka Ino as "the world's most magnificent scenery."
The view from the Room overlooking Satsuma Fuji (Mount Kaimondake) floating on the horizon is breathtaking! During the Edo period, Tadataka Ino, who walked along Japan's coastline to create a map of Japan, praised it as "truly a magnificent view of the world." The beautiful shape of Mount Kaimondake frequently appears in movies and sweet potato shochu commercials as a symbol of Southern Satsuma. Particularly, the "first sunrise" rising from the left of Mount Kaimondake is a spectacular sight.

■Point 2■ A property where you can enjoy dishes featuring fresh "Ise lobster" throughout the year.
The highlight of the Property is the "freshness of the ingredients." Thanks to a large seawater tank that pumps water from the East China Sea 24/7, you can enjoy fresh spiny lobster year-round, even during the fishing ban period from May to August. With 40 years of expertise in spiny lobster preparation, as reflected in the Property's name, we offer spiny lobster prepared in various culinary styles.

Ei Town in Minamikyushu City, where the Property is located, is a major production area for the shochu potato "Koganesengan," known in the shochu industry. At the Property, we offer a selection of rare shochu that can only be enjoyed locally and from local shochu breweries. The recommended way to enjoy it is "Mae-wari Kan," where shochu is mixed with water the night before and warmed using Kagoshima's traditional drinking vessel "Kurojoka."

In Minamikyushu City, tea production is thriving, and it is renowned as the top in Japan in both quantity and quality under the names "Chiran Tea" and "Ei Tea." The "Yutakamidori" variety, which is widely cultivated in this region, is known for its vibrant green color, sweet aroma, and smooth taste, even up to the third brew. At our Property, we provide premium tea leaves in the guest rooms and welcome you throughout the year with cold-brewed sencha in summer and warm green tea in winter. Additionally, you can enjoy tea-based dishes such as tea jelly and tea simmered dishes, unique to this tea-producing area.

Chiran, Mount Kaimon, and Ibusuki await! A Property with excellent access to "nearby tourist spots"! Our Property is located along the coast on the southern side of the Satsuma Peninsula, midway between Makurazaki and Mount Kaimon. It is conveniently accessible by car: 20 minutes to Makurazaki, 30 minutes to Chiran, Mount Kaimon, and Lake Ikeda, and 40 minutes to Ibusuki, making it ideal for sightseeing drives. We recommend a route where you can visit Chiran's "Samurai Residence Gardens and Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots," stay and dine at our Property, and then head to Ibusuki or Yamagawa for "sand-steamed Onsen, Mount Kaimon hiking, and Lake Ikeda strolling," or the reverse route.

The property is located within the "Banshohana Natural Park," which once housed the Satsuma Domain's ship station, and the building is surrounded by a small windbreak forest. A one-minute walk along the park's promenade leads to a stunning coastline. Immersing yourself in the sound of waves, sea breeze, and the scent of the shore while gazing at the horizon feels like conversing with the sea, bringing a sense of tranquility. Upon returning to the property, a feast of seafood awaits you.

As a small countryside Property, we may not provide sophisticated service, but we strive to offer a comforting hospitality reminiscent of visiting a relative's home in the countryside. Please feel free to visit with a sense of ease, as if saying "I'm home."
