Welcome to Hijiori Onsen Yushin no Accommodation KANGETSU. KANGETSU strives to provide hospitality that soothes the fatigue of your journey. Approximately one hour by bus from Shinjo Station. Hijiori is a quaint Onsen town that retains the traditional atmosphere of therapeutic hot springs. While there may not be much, we take pride in the clear air and the simple yet warm-hearted hospitality of our people.

At our facility, we strive to offer you the unique delicacies of Hijiori, including spring mountain vegetables and autumn mushrooms. While not extravagant in appearance, these dishes are rich in the wholesome flavors of Yamagata's land.

Our accommodation is named "Kangetsu," meaning "Moon Viewing," as it was historically a place where many pilgrims to the Dewa Sanzan, including Mount Gassan, stayed. Although Mount Gassan cannot be seen from Hijiori, the name reflects the sentiments of ancient travelers toward Mount Gassan.
