Introduction of the Accommodation

Greetings
Our inn is a traditional Japanese-style ryokan, originally part of the Todaiji Temple complex. It features rooms such as the "Tenpyo Room," which incorporates 1,200-year-old pillars from ancient times. Each room showcases exquisite ancient art in its architecture and decor. Located in a prime scenic area, our inn offers views of the Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple and Nara Park to the front, with Wakakusa Mountain and Kofukuji Temple's Five-Story Pagoda behind. Guests can enjoy strolling through our elegant garden adorned with antique artworks while immersing themselves in a serene atmosphere. Known as an ideal retreat away from worldly concerns, our inn is also referred to as "Kyuka-so" (The Pavilion of Mist). We warmly welcome families, international visitors, and those who cherish Nara’s historic charm to experience its beauty and create lasting memories here at Kanroksou. We look forward to your visit. Sincerely, The Proprietor
