<400-Year-Old Property> Indulge in a luxurious stay with direct-flow onsen and the delicacies of Inaba's mountains and seas.

A long-established Stays with a 400-year history. The natural hot spring water, flowing directly from the source, reaches a comfortable temperature by the time it fills the bath, allowing you to enjoy smooth water that is gentle on the skin. For dining, you can choose from three types of kaiseki cuisine available year-round or seasonal kaiseki that makes use of seasonal ingredients. Please indulge in dishes that focus on the ingredients, taste, and aroma, using plenty of mountain and sea delicacies from the local Inaba region. Relax and enjoy in the private bath within the garden or the large cypress bathhouse. Additionally, next to the private bath, there is a private sauna with a sense of openness. In the cabin made with cypress from Chizu Town, you can enjoy an authentic sauna experience. There is also a cold bath and an outdoor air bath space, offering a quiet space surrounded by the trees of the garden, where you can enjoy an exquisite relaxation time without being disturbed.

  • It was a relaxing and peaceful stay at the accommodation. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious. I was already full after enjoying Matsuba crab, but the tempura served later was so perfectly fried that I ate it all. The bathhouse had a charming atmosphere with great Onsen water, though a higher chair would have been appreciated. As I age, I find traditional accommodations more comforting to my heart, though my body is starting to feel otherwise. Since it was a room with a bed type, there were no inconveniences inside the room. I hope to visit again while I'm still able to use stairs. I felt that Iwai Onsen has remained unchanged for decades, and its unchanging nature is part of its charm.

  • This time, we used the 【Girls' Trip|Special Benefits】Anime "Free!" Iwami Town Pilgrimage Plan <Free Yukata Rental>|One Night with Two Meals plan. The juice provided at check-in was very delicious. We received two "Free!" postcards per person. We planned a one-night, two-day stay, but since there was an additional rental fee for keeping the yukata after check-out, we decided not to wear it during the day on the second day. However, we were able to choose our own yukata patterns and enjoyed wearing them after taking a bath on the check-in day. We strolled around and took photos in our yukatas. The Japanese sweets set in the Room was delicious. The bed in the Room was incredibly comfortable, and even though it was summer, the air conditioning worked well, making our stay very pleasant. The bath had a wonderful atmosphere and was truly enjoyable. The staff member who assisted us provided very detailed explanations and offered heartwarming hospitality that made us feel at ease during our first trip as just two friends. There is a souvenir corner immediately to the left of the entrance where we also had fun browsing. The meals consisted of many small dishes; while it felt like quite a lot of food overall, we were happy to enjoy local fish unique to this area.Additionally, there was a bus stop nearby which made transportation easy both upon arrival and departure. There were also guests with children staying here.
