Minamiamihari Arine Onsen Yukotan no Mori
Iwate Prefecture/Minami Netari Arine OnsenA highland Onsen resort inspired by Kenji Miyazawa's 'Night on the Galactic Railroad'.
A modern highland resort nestled in a majestic forest. The building's design is inspired by the railway tracks from Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tale "Night on the Galactic Railroad." From the top-floor observatory bath, you can enjoy views of seasonal mountains, while the open-air bath surrounded by trees offers a relaxing forest bathing experience.
It was a truly relaxing experience. The view from the room was spectacular. The bath was an open-air bath surrounded by the forest, offering a heavenly experience. You can enjoy different types of baths with unique atmospheres. At night, you can marvel at the star-filled sky. Meals featured an abundance of local ingredients from the prefecture, and drinks were reasonably priced. I had an amazing time and would love to visit this accommodation again. Iwate is vast, and there are still so many places I want to explore!
あけぽん52 9/30/2025It was a quiet and peaceful Facility. It's hard to put into words, but the relaxed atmosphere without trying too hard was wonderful. I could enjoy my stay without wishing for anything to be different. Perhaps it helped that there were no children as it was before the summer holidays, but the kindness extended to us also made a big difference. I was able to spend my precious vacation leisurely. Thank you very much!

Introduction of the Accommodation

Yu... Represents the Onsen, conveying the ancient warmth from the depths of the earth. Kotan... Means "settlement" in the Ainu language, evoking a place where human connections are nurtured. Mori... Symbolizes the great nature at the foot of the Southern Fuji, "Mt. Iwate." Our Property is located in an exceptional location with a stunning view of "Mt. Iwate," a tourism resource ranked A by the Japan Travel Bureau Foundation.
