For guests arriving before 6:00 PM, we offer a welcome tea. After check-in, enjoy English tea and cake in the lounge for a traditional British tea experience. During colder months, relax by the cozy wood-burning stove, and in summer, unwind in the English garden with its lawn and gazebo. Feel free to chat with Chris, the British owner, or our staff for recommendations on places to visit and local restaurants.

Enjoy your favorite records on our nostalgic record player. Meet Freddy, the world's most friendly and famous mascot dog, who is waiting to greet you. If you are afraid of dogs or have allergies, please let us know. We also have a library, a dartboard, and a variety of musical instruments. At the bar, we offer cocktails such as London gin & tonic made with cucumber, seasonal fruit Bellinis, British craft beers, and a selection of fine wines and whiskies.

We take pride in our homemade cuisine. Enjoy our warm and heartfelt breakfast and dinner. We source our produce locally as much as possible, directly from farmers and farmers' markets. Our popular classic English breakfast includes homemade sausages, homemade bacon, and black pudding. We also offer options like homemade smoked salmon and mackerel. Our standard dinner (3,800 yen) is a four-course meal featuring homemade smoked salmon, pork pâté, and a salad made with wonderful local tomatoes. The main course is a tender beef stew served with Yorkshire pudding. To finish, we serve a hot traditional British dessert. For guests staying two or more nights, we offer an alternative four-course dinner featuring delicious fish and chips. Dinner is served from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. If you arrive late, an "à la carte" menu is also available. If you have allergies or specific dietary preferences (vegetarian, low-carb, etc.), please let us know in advance and also inform us at check-in.

All rooms feature beautiful private bathrooms, nightwear, 32-inch flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, hairdryers, towels, and bath amenities. Guests can enjoy views of the surrounding greenery from every room. Some rooms offer stunning views of the local volcano, Mount Asama.

Hotel Wellies offers luggage and ski/golf equipment storage, as well as a safety deposit box. Electric bicycles and standard bicycles are available for rent. Free WiFi is available in all public areas and guest rooms. The hotel is entirely non-smoking.

If you are arriving by car, ample parking is available (please use Google Maps). If arriving by train, we can pick you up at Nakakaruizawa Station (South Exit) or the Hoshino area. Please consult us for pick-up at JR Karuizawa.

JR Shinkansen Karuizawa Station, outlet shopping mall, Prince Ski Resort, Shiozawa Lake, and the Old Karuizawa area are approximately 10 minutes by car, and Shinano Railway Nakakaruizawa Station is 10 minutes by car. The Hoshino area with Onsen, Sezon Modern Art Museum, Harunire Terrace, and Stone Church are 5 minutes by car. Yukawa River and local temples and shrines are within a 5-minute walk.
