Tamatsukuri Onsen Gensen Kakenagashi no Yado Yujin Chiyonoyu
Shimane Prefecture/Tamatsukuri OnsenSoak in the water from the Onsen spring on the premises and enjoy authentic Onsen eggs.
A Ryokan proud of its own natural Onsen spring that wells up on the property. Enjoy Tamatsukuri’s renowned hot springs with 100% free-flowing source water. Some guest rooms were renovated in March 2016; we recommend the Japanese-modern spaces inspired by the Taisho era and early Showa period.
I stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included. The meals used local ingredients and were lightly seasoned, letting the natural flavors shine—everything was delicious. The Onsen was fed directly from the source, and my skin still felt smooth the next day. Despite the homey atmosphere, I could really feel their hospitality. I also appreciated that they served our meal quickly so we could go see the fireflies.
イチゴ好き 6/17/2026The Onsen water truly felt like a skin-beautifying bath. After soaking, my skin was so soft and supple that I didn’t need any lotion. I was very satisfied with this Accommodation offering free-flowing natural hot spring water.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Chiyo-no-Yu has its own private spring source, and the water flows directly into the baths. There is no heating, circulation, or chemical disinfection of any kind. Relax and enjoy a generous soak in this luxurious natural Onsen. In addition, because the source temperature is about 66°C, there is no change in the water’s properties due to heating. This is truly a 100% natural free-flowing Onsen.

Chiyo-no-Yu features an Onsen whose spring quality is an exquisite blend of sulfate and chloride springs. It is also mildly alkaline, making it gentle on the skin. In addition, it contains a large amount of metasilicic acid, which may provide the following skin-beautifying benefits: ・Its hypotonic, mildly alkaline water helps remove old dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and silky. ・The sulfate spring helps improve firmness and supports a more youthful look. ・The chloride spring forms a thin salt film on the skin to help lock in moisture, so you can feel smooth hydration even hours after bathing. ・Metasilicic acid gives the water a soft, moisturizing feel and promotes healthy skin turnover. As some of you may know, it is also used in cosmetics and bath additives and is expected to help support the balance of ceramides in the skin.
