Dake Onsen has been devastated time and again by natural disasters and the ravages of war, yet each time our predecessors rebuilt it. We deeply cherish Dake Onsen, which they protected at the risk of their lives, and while holding the greatness of nature in awe, we are grateful for its blessings and wish to pass them on to future generations.

Timelessness and innovation

Our Ryokan is a wooden building constructed in the early Showa era. As such, you may hear the gentle creak of wood with each step on the stairs, notice slightly lower lintels, and walk along a long, narrow tatami corridor lined with lattice windows. These features may feel inconvenient to some guests. However, we would be delighted if you could experience them as nostalgia and charm. Rather than simply returning to the past, we take as our starting point what has been refined and passed down over time, and we aimcommentary to create a comfortable Japanese Ryokan that adapts flexibly to the ever-changing lifestyle of modern Japan. We hope you will enjoy a moment of luxury in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere while feeling the warmth of wood.
