An Accommodation where Taisho-era romance and Japanese charm surround you, offering natural Onsen baths with free-flowing spring water and seasonal creative cuisine.
A small Accommodation in Dake Onsen with a charming Japanese ambiance reminiscent of the Taisho era. Our natural Onsen is 100% free-flowing from the source, piped in from the mountains at an elevation of 1,500 meters, and features a gentle simple acidic spring. Housed in an early Showa-era wooden building, the property offers just eight thoughtfully appointed rooms. Enjoy creative kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal ingredients, paired with renowned local sake from Fukushima. Relax and savor a quiet, soothing stay.
This was my first visit to Dake Onsen. The Accommodation looks like a small, old building from the outside, but the interior has a modern feel. In the lounge, we were served matcha as a welcome drink and given coins that could be used for two complimentary drinks (sake or wine). The Room with an open-air bath was wonderful, and the water was excellent.Above all, dinner was elaborate and everything was delicious. It looked beautiful, and the ingredients were surprisingly high quality for a mountain area—like a course meal at a modern Japanese restaurant in Tokyo. Breakfast consisted of simple local dishes made with regional ingredients; it also had a comforting warmth and was very enjoyable. We had requested Shuttle Service as well, and on the way back they took us via Sakurazaka and Kagami-ga-ike Pond before dropping us off at Kasumi Castle Ruins, which made us very happy.Just as we had hoped, we were able to see many beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom in Fukushima.
kirakira/bos... 4/15/2026It was nice that this small Accommodation was quiet and peaceful. The Onsen had a gentle sulfur scent and natural mineral deposits, which felt good for the skin.Meals were served in a private dining room, so we could relax without worrying about others.

Introduction of the Accommodation
With a 1,200-year history of hot springs
Dake Onsen has been devastated time and again by natural disasters and the ravages of war, yet each time our predecessors rebuilt it. We deeply cherish Dake Onsen, which they protected at the risk of their lives, and while holding the greatness of nature in awe, we are grateful for its blessings and wish to pass them on to future generations.

Timelessness and innovation
Our Ryokan is a wooden building constructed in the early Showa era. As such, you may hear the gentle creak of wood with each step on the stairs, notice slightly lower lintels, and walk along a long, narrow tatami corridor lined with lattice windows. These features may feel inconvenient to some guests. However, we would be delighted if you could experience them as nostalgia and charm. Rather than simply returning to the past, we take as our starting point what has been refined and passed down over time, and we aimcommentary to create a comfortable Japanese Ryokan that adapts flexibly to the ever-changing lifestyle of modern Japan. We hope you will enjoy a moment of luxury in a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere while feeling the warmth of wood.

Woven Feelings
We will continue to cherish the spirit that has lived in our Accommodation over time, preserving Japan’s delicate, warm culture and the traditions of Japanese hospitality, while devoting ourselves to heartfelt care and genuine omotenashi. Please listen to the gentle sounds from the gramophone and let your mind unwind.

Room
“Hanakanzashi” offers a total of 8 Rooms: 3 special Rooms with private open-air baths featuring 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water, 1 Japanese-style Room with a bedroom, and 4 standard guest Rooms.\nEach Room has its own distinctive charm.

Beyond Fukushima’s safe, reliable ingredients, our chefs go beyond local production for local consumption to prepare each dish with gratitude, featuring seasonal delicacies from The whole country.

As you enter the Accommodation, you will find the souvenir shop “Hanaerabi” on your right. Just as when choosing flowers, we have prepared a selection of items—each with its own unique character—so you can feel both comfort and the joy of choosing.

A hiba-wood bathtub with a lingering natural aroma. Its gentle feel helps you truly relax. Soak in our renowned 100% free-flowing hot spring water and warm up from the core.
