At a professional therapeutic Property quietly nestled in the mountains, fully enjoy the natural radium rock bath.

Furoukaku is a hidden onsen quietly nestled in the mountains. It is a professional therapeutic property where you can bathe in a rock bath with natural spring water temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees from approximately 40m underground, warm your body with finishing baths, and finally use pouring water under the guidance of an onsen utilization instructor.

  • We stayed during the Obon holidays. We ordered an extra serving of horse sashimi for dinner and were very satisfied with how fresh it was. The radium mineral spring bath is a salty water with an iron-like scent, and it can also be drunk. With free-flowing source water, we were able to enjoy a genuine Onsen.

  • A wonderful Ryokan with a long-established feel. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to relax in the rock bath (it would be great if the hours were extended a bit). The indoor bath was listed as open from 07:00 in the morning, but in reality it seems to be available much earlier—something only regular guests know.

All five sources are 100% natural radium hot springs with continuous flow. The indoor bath and rock bath are equipped with a permanent warm bath (approximately 41°C). Miraculous natural radium spring, rock bath.

The rock bath, boasting the highest radium content in Japan, is located at the top of the mountain stairs behind Furokaku. This bath, carved out beneath a massive rock, features a natural radium spring that wells up from the bottom. The radon released from the water's surface and above your head provides a healing experience. As guests climb the stairs step by step, some use it as a health check, saying, "Today, I made it up without losing my breath," while others enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Inside the rock bath, the atmosphere is friendly and lively, often serving as a place for guests to exchange information with one another.
