A relaxing stay with 100% natural hot spring water and warm hospitality.

Operated by a baritone singer and his wife, this property offers warm hospitality. Located just an 8-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, it is ideal for sightseeing. Recommended for those who wish to enjoy natural hot spring baths and carefully prepared meals at reasonable prices.

  • My wife and I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath fed directly from the hot spring source. The bath size and water volume were just right for two, so we enjoyed it before dinner, after dinner, and again before breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with plenty of space. For dinner we chose the Gourmet Kaiseki Plan, so the portions were a bit too much for us (we’re not that young anymore) and we couldn’t finish everything, but we were very satisfied with the quality—especially the shabu-shabu, which was delicious. The proprietress showed us to our Room and also served our meals; she was refined and courteous, which I personally liked very much. Perhaps because there was heavy rain that day, there were already two other parties arriving at check-in time, so it may have been unavoidable due to staffing levels, but the only disappointment was having to wait in another room for over 10 minutes before completing check-in procedures.

  • A cozy, family-run Onsen Accommodation with a warm atmosphere and a nostalgic Showa-era charm. The meals were outstanding, and the open-air bath was more than satisfying. The proprietress’s tea room next to the entrance was a relaxing space.

Onsen and bath

Onsen and bath

Located in the mountains of Hakone, Kisensou features a sodium chloride Onsen, with salt as its main component. The characteristic of chloride hot springs is that the salt in the water adheres to the skin, preventing body heat from evaporating and providing a high heat retention effect. In our indoor baths and private open-air baths, the water from Hakone Yumoto Onsen is poured directly from the source, 100% pure. Indulge in the luxurious and rich spring water to your heart's content.
