All rooms are riverside. A traditional Japanese Ryokan nestled in the nature of Kuju.
A Japanese-style Ryokan nestled in the natural beauty of Kuju. Enjoy the smooth-textured Onsen in a rustic open-air bath or one of four uniquely styled family baths. The simple yet flavorful mountain village cuisine is also one of its attractions.
The food was absolutely delicious. We were also very satisfied that the private Onsen bath was available 24 hours a day. The hostess kindly told us about nearby sightseeing spots, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We would love to visit again with my husband.
ここもか 8/4/2026I had a great first impression on my initial visit, so I wanted to come back. The friendly service makes it easy to relax. I enjoyed soaking at a leisurely pace in the open-air bath, the private bath, and the nearby waterfall-style bath. The meal was from a smaller-portion Plan, but it was more than enough and very delicious. This Accommodation suits me well.

Nagaohara・Mimata (Autumn)
The hostess, who loves Kuju, has captured the surrounding enchanting scenery with her camera, including her passion for mountain climbing.

Onsen and bath
The Onsen at Ryokan Shirataki is a "sodium chloride spring," which helps restore skin elasticity and provides a tightening effect, creating firm and elastic skin. The spacious public bath's open-air bath, featuring an indoor bath and an outdoor rock bath, allows you to leisurely enjoy the Kusu hot spring source.

From the Room, you can enjoy the beautiful seasonal views such as cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow. The main building also offers Rooms with semi-open-air baths.

Rice, miso, meat, fish, eggs, locally sourced vegetables, and fruits—dedication to the ingredients that form the foundation of cuisine. The rich variety born from encountering seasonal ingredients nurtured by the land of Kuju.
