While browsing Reviews for an Accommodation where we could stay with our pet, natural Onsen, and dining options, we found Takakatsu and decided to stay there.The hospitality, guest room, water quality, cuisine, and the Onsen town—all were more than satisfying.However, while the amount of food was sufficient for us as a couple, it might feel a bit small for younger guests.We will be back again.
zima51 7/16/2026We visited as a group of six: my spouse and I, plus our two daughters and another couple.We were also considering Yufuin Onsen, but after seeing the Reviews and photos of Takakatsu, it looked great, so we chose Yuhira Onsen instead. From arrival until checkout the next morning, we were truly satisfied with this Accommodation.The service was courteous, and each dish was carefully prepared with refinement—everything was unbelievably delicious.We stayed in the detached Room called “Ryoma,” and even our daughters, who are very particular about cleanliness, were pleased. We could feel thoughtful attention to detail in the open-air bath in the Room, the indoor bath, washbasin area, and toilet as well. We had no complaints at all and enjoyed a comfortable stay throughout.We love Onsen and have stayed at many Ryokan, but this was the best Ryokan we’ve ever experienced—I would highly recommend it to everyone.We hope to visit again someday.

Introduction of the Accommodation
Takasyo operates large live fish cuisine restaurants in Hakata, Nakasu, Nishijin, and Kiyokawa. In February 2015, Takasyo opened a members-only sushi restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo, and in June of the same year, expanded to Nobeoka, Miyazaki. "Ike Sushi Kappo Takasyo" is proud of its fresh Kyushu seafood and meat dishes.

At Taka Katsu Restaurant, enjoy a proud dinner featuring fresh seafood at the Onsen Property surrounded by mountains. This is a grand and delicate feast unique to Taka Katsu, equipped with a large fish tank. Meals are served in a dining area where all tables are named after renowned athletes we are honored to serve.
The three separate villas named after the great figures of the Meiji Restoration—Ryoma, Kaishu, and Shouin—boast unique charm and ambiance.
A private bath with an open-air bath newly established in July 2014 based on customer feedback. This private bath features both indoor and open-air baths with natural Onsen water, ideal for families, friends, or couples to enjoy in privacy.
Other Facilities
The lobby features a calming wood-grain design and a traditional hearth. Enjoy a welcoming Dago soup here during check-in. Relax while appreciating the greenery of the garden.
