In its calm setting, this Accommodation had the quiet charm of Shimosuwa and gently helped me unwind from the fatigue of travel.The bath was “Wata no Yu.”The water felt soft and soothing on the skin, warming me through to the core.There is also a private open-air bath, and it was wonderfully relaxing to soak in silence without worrying about anyone around.Breakfast was unhurried as well, and I could enjoy it slowly in a peaceful atmosphere.Combined with Shimosuwa’s crisp morning air, it felt like a time that refreshed even my mind.It’s also conveniently located for visiting Suwa Taisha Shrine and exploring Shimosuwa on foot—an Accommodation I’d love to return to.
七瀬 ひかる 6/24/20261) With free-flowing natural Onsen water, I could bathe as many times as I wanted 24 hours a day. Perhaps thanks to the Onsen minerals, I’d been having trouble sleeping lately, but I was able to sleep a full six hours. 2) Shimosuwa Akimiya Shrine is nearby, and visiting from early morning left me feeling refreshed. 3) Breakfast was excellent and well balanced nutritionally. The rice was served in an ohitsu tub, and I enjoyed plenty. The grilled salmon and pickles were delicious. 4) The location is great, and the drive there was enjoyable with stops at roadside stations along the way. Overall, this Accommodation comes highly recommended. Thank you very much.

From the Taisho era to the early Showa period, our establishment operated as a fine dining restaurant, and since 1948, we have been serving as a culinary Onsen Ryokan, focusing on exceptional cuisine. Our head chef, who has won numerous awards in culinary competitions, prepares exquisite kaiseki meals that allow you to savor the rich flavors and seasonal essence of Shinshu. Please enjoy our dishes, crafted with care from the selection of ingredients to the presentation. Additionally, our young proprietress has carefully selected a variety of recommended local sake, which we hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy.
This is an 8-tatami Japanese-style Room located next to Aotsuka Kofun. The Room does not have a bath, so please use the open-air bath or the large public bath.
Both the open-air and indoor baths utilize the "Wata no Yu" hot spring, derived from the legend of the goddess of Suwa Taisha, featuring a soft and skin-friendly water quality, luxuriously used in a free-flowing manner.

Upon arrival, please enjoy Kombu tea in the lounge. We feature the renowned Matsumoto Mingei furniture from Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, known for its traditional Japanese antique charm. This furniture is highly regarded for its quality and comfort. Experience its elegance and sophistication by taking a seat.
