Yamashiro Onsen Houshoutei
Ishikawa Prefecture/Yamashiro OnsenPlenty of services to keep kids smiling! Convenient access to fun family-friendly play spots.
The Onsen at Houshoutei features a special spring water gentle enough for babies. Enjoy the large communal bath and private baths where you can feel the beauty of each season. Our meals, including our specialty "Ganko Mori," are crafted with fresh seafood and mountain delicacies from not only Ishikawa but the entire Hokuriku region, offering a feast for both your taste buds and eyes. We also provide a kids' room and a variety of children's menu options to ensure an enjoyable stay for families.
This was my first stay here. The Room was spacious, and I was very satisfied to be able to relax in the Onsen. If I have the opportunity, I would like to stay here again.
一休ラック 5/12/2026As the Accommodation strongly emphasizes families with children, we chose the top-floor “Bento in Your Room” Plan for our trip as a couple. After enjoying a draft beer in the lounge after our bath, we returned to our Room to find a bento (more than enough for us) already delivered, allowing us to relax and enjoy dinner at our own pace. Since we travel often, buffets can feel like too much food or a hassle to go back and forth for, so this kind of in-room dining is wonderfully calming. The Room is beautifully appointed and feels very elegant. That said, with the sunken kotatsu-style seating area and the futons already laid out, we ended up dozing off without meaning to. We had been looking forward to the late-night soba served with the chef’s signature dashi broth, but before we knew it it was past midnight and even the baths were closed—such a waste! Still, that just shows how comfortable we felt. With only a small number of guest rooms, both the baths and lounge were very comfortable to use. The washing area in the bath has tatami flooring, which seems safer even if children get excited and slip. We didn’t use it ourselves, but there is also a private family bath that should be great for families—though there appeared to be only about six Reservation slots available, so it may be competitive. We were also pleased with amenities like the ReFa shower head and Dyson hair dryer (which we use at home and know is excellent). We truly enjoyed everything that makes an Accommodation of this size special. The staff are well trained as well, making our stay very pleasant. We would love to visit again for another relaxing getaway.

Introduction of the Accommodation

The Heart of Houshoutei
Our joy comes from seeing our guests spend precious moments with family, friends, or colleagues at our Onsen Ryokan and witnessing their smiles. We hope you will experience the happiness of sharing smiles with your loved ones at Houshoutei. Houshoutei cherishes your smiles and aspires to always be a supportive presence for you.

Cuisine Featuring the Delicacies of Hokuriku's Mountains and Seas
Yamashiro Onsen is located in the heart of Ishikawa Prefecture, offering a culinary treasure trove rich in fresh seafood and mountain delicacies nurtured by the sacred Mount Hakusan. Our fish is carefully selected by expert buyers, and we serve dishes featuring freshly harvested Kaga vegetables and local specialties like Noto beef, a renowned regional brand. Enjoy cuisine that captures Japan's unique seasons, delighting both your palate and your eyes.

Exclusive Onsen Experience at Hoshotei
Before Houshoutei was built here, there was a sake brewery called "Taiyo no Midori" that crafted delicious local sake using spring water. The special Onsen at Houshoutei blends this spring water with the highly beneficial Yamashiro Onsen, creating a gentle bath even suitable for babies and offering silky smooth skin. Enjoy a blissful moment to heal your tired mind and body.

At Houshotei, we offer various services such as late-night soba and morning coffee. Additionally, we provide special services for children, including an animal search adventure game, baby bedding, a kids' play area, and rental yukatas for children—perfect for moms. We warmly invite you to enjoy these offerings.

Welcome Baby Certified Accommodation
Houshoutei is certified as a "Welcome Baby Accommodation," meeting over 70 of the 100 criteria set by Mikihouse Childcare Research Institute. Baby food is available for all stages: initial, middle, late, and completion phases. A kids' space is provided in front of the reception area, where you can enjoy the "Kids Theater" and a "Toy-filled Secret Base." We also offer a private bath that can float 200 rubber ducks, a floor with 1,000 picture books, 13 types of simple wooden toys, and an automatic music box playing 300 songs continuously. Additionally, children's yukata or jinbei and baby items are available for rental.
