Introduction of the Accommodation

Retaining the charm of the Showa era, the old wooden building was renovated 15 years ago, and the Rooms have washbasins but no toilets. It may not satisfy those seeking perfect Ryokan Facilities, but we welcome you with rare cold springs and Onsen in this mountain area, along with a unique hearth-style kaiseki meal.

Kan no Jigoku Onsen, a historic hot spring established in Kaei 2 of the late Edo period. This is a source-fed onsen boasting an abundant flow rate exceeding 2 tons per minute. The natural spring water at 13-14 degrees Celsius is heated using a wood-fired boiler. The stone bath and hinoki cypress bath alternate daily between men and women. Additionally, the three private baths can be used multiple times during your stay if available.

Our cold spring, previously only available for three summer months due to its extreme coldness, can now be enjoyed year-round thanks to the completion of our sauna! This sauna, designed to enhance your experience of our cold spring, is produced by 'TTNE' under the guidance of renowned Japanese sauna experts. Enjoy your unique style of bathing with endless combinations of cold spring and sauna.
