I stayed in a newly renovated Room with an open-air bath.The Room was spacious, and the open-air bath was large enough to relax in comfortably.The food was carefully prepared and very delicious.

Located at the gateway to Oku-Yugawara, renowned as a luxury resort even within Yugawara. Built to follow the natural slope of the land, the property features a historic Main Building once beloved by literary figures and a modern Annex with contemporary design. The lobby welcomes guests with a harmonious blend of both atmospheres.
Restaurant Pinoclare
Pinoclare is a restaurant attached to Yuraku. It has earned high praise as an “auberge,” an Accommodation centered around exceptional dining. Using carefully selected organic vegetables sourced from local farmers and fresh seafood landed in nearby waters, our chef’s skill and inspiration create a course menu that blends Italian cuisine with Japanese techniques and ingredients. The menu changes every month, and ingredients may also vary depending on the harvest and shipping schedule of farmers who grow rare varieties with great care. Please come and savor dishes you can enjoy only right now. Guests staying overnight are welcome to dine in their yukata. Relax in comfort and enjoy thoughtfully prepared, body-friendly cuisine.
Though this is a small Ryokan, I was drawn to the appeal of “Auberge Yuraku” and now oversee the kitchen here. What I focus on every day is how to delight our guests with cuisine that can only be experienced here. Yuraku offers an outstanding free-flowing Onsen sourced directly from the spring, among the best in Yugawara. Even so, our goal is to be a place where guests come not for the Onsen alone, but for the food—cuisine that is compelling and truly worth the journey. True to our name as an auberge, we aspire to be a Ryokan people visit specifically for its dining.
Yuraku is built on land that makes the most of Yugawara’s natural terrain. Nestled along the mountainside, the building has a charming atmosphere that reflects Yugawara’s history as an Onsen destination beloved by literary masters. We offer a variety of Rooms with distinct styles, including beautiful Japanese-style Rooms where you can fully enjoy this ambiance, as well as modern renovated suite Rooms. Please choose the Room that best suits your trip and preferences.
Thanks to our abundant private hot spring source, we offer free-flowing natural hot spring water in all baths, including four bathing areas such as the reservable open-air bath, as well as the indoor bath. “Yuraku” boasts a plentiful supply—70 liters per minute and 100 tons per day—and the water is cooled to a comfortable temperature according to the season and weather, so you can enjoy authentic free-flowing hot spring water without compromising its natural qualities.
